Our Commitments

Ingredients

At Bush Harvest Co, we take pride in our commitment to using vegan and cruelty-free ingredients that have a minimal impact on the environment while still providing numerous benefits to your body.

Incorporating a minimal-interventionist approach, we highly value the natural connection between humans and the earth. We are passionate about innovation in the industry and use global-leading extraction methods to ensure that the plant extracts we use in our formulas are as potent as possible.

We strongly believe in the importance of avoiding toxins in our daily lives, which is why we are transparent about the ingredients we use and avoid harmful chemicals.

We believe in shortening our supply chains, which is why we are proud to grow our hero ingredient Citrus australasica (Finger Lime) on our farm in Bundjalung Country (Blue Knob, New South Wales).

Our formulations are manufactured and bottled in Australia, reducing the distance of travel from manufacture to warehouse.

Packaging

All of our packaging is recyclable, compostable, or reusable.

Currently our collection contains glass and virgin plastic that is either reusable or recyclable (either at kerbside or via TerraCycle®).

We recognise that not all beauty packaging is kerbside recyclable and are thrilled to offer an innovative recycling solution with the TerraCycle® Zero Waste Box. Click here to learn more about our Recycle Rewards Program and how you can SAVE when you return your skincare empties to us!

Our boxes, packaging, and tissue paper are made from cardboard and paper that has been FSC-certified, which means our products adhere to the highest environmental and social standards. Our paper and card packaging is kerbside recyclable and home compostable.

Ethical Production

We vehemently oppose any form of animal testing. Additionally, we take immense pride in ensuring full transparency regarding the origins of each of our products, including the individuals involved in their creation, packaging, and shipment.

We hold a strong belief in the importance of fair wages, and as the Bush Harvest Co team grows we are committed to providing favourable working conditions, and offering our employees flexibility and compassion in navigating the delicate balance between personal and professional spheres.

End of Life

At Bush Harvest Co, we understand the importance of taking responsibility for the impact our products leave on the environment.

For this reason, we use only packaging that can be recycled, composted, or reused.

Our packaging bottles contain glass and virgin plastic that is either reusable or recyclable.

Our boxes, packaging, and tissue paper are made from cardboard and paper that has been certified by PEFC or FSC, which means our products adhere to the highest environmental and social standards. Our paper and card packaging is kerbside recyclable and home compostable.

To be certified home compostable, a product must break down in home compost within 180 days and 90 days in commercial composting conditions.

Cardboard and paper products are a great addition to the backyard compost as it helps with the carbon-nitrogen ratio. Easily broken down in a compost, these products also tend to have chemical compounds removed from the product.

If you don’t have a home compost, you can look at local options for communal compost sites, or somewhere you can drop off items for commercial composting.

Our team is always striving to find innovative ways to repurpose, recycle, or reuse materials, and we hope that you will join us in our efforts to reduce waste.

Sustainability

Bush Harvest Co is intrinsically linked to and inspired by Nature. We are dedicated to consistently improving our products, processes, supply-chains, and packaging to ensure we uphold our commitment to providing planet friendly goods. Made for good. Good for you.
