Davidson Plum Plant - Large

2-3 Years Old / Seedling / 60-80cm Height / 200mm Pot

Have a small garden, but want to grow your own native Australian bushfood? Davidson Plums offer a taste of Australia’s amazing flavours and are the perfect fit for narrow spaces and a compact urban setting.

Known as ooray, Queensland Davidson Plums (Davidsonia pruriens) are a tall, slender native Australian rainforest tree found in Queensland and Northern New South Wales. It has a dense crown of large, glossy green leaves that are concentrated at the top of the trunk, giving the tree an attractive palm-like appearance. In the wild, ooray can grow up to 10m in the wild, but typically reaches 4 – 8m in gardens.

This ornamental tree is a popular bush tucker plant, as the unique and distinctive fruit is packed with beneficial antioxidants. The plums have dark blue/purple skin with a vibrant magenta flesh and grow in clusters directly off the trunk. The fruit is very tart and works well in both savoury and sweet products, particularly sauces, jams, jellies, cordials and ice cream.

This category of Queensland Davidson Plum tree is grown from seed, 2 - 3 years old, and 60 – 80cm in height. Trees will come in 150 – 200mm pots.

We provide a live plant guarantee. We will accept replacements or refunds for plants that are damaged or have died in transit. Claims must be made within 24 hours of receipt of shipment. See the FAQs section on how to make a claim.

Very healthy plants

We ordered our plants from Bush Harvest Co and couldn’t be happier. The plants arrived well packaged and cared for. We followed Bush Harvest Co “how to” on taking care of the plants when they arrived. After a short period of acclimation the plants are now thriving and it won’t be long before they will be planted for them to flourish into trees.
